My Journey Begins...

Tomorrow. My husband and I, along with our kids ( they didn't sell with the rest of our furniture :) ), will make the long trek back to the Maine coast - 2600 miles away. Despite the fact that we are moving into a home a third of the size of our current one, I am very excited. I love adventures. And I love the unknown.

But...

I will miss my amazing friends and family. I have been truly blessed by their kindness and generosity the last several weeks. So a big shout out to the them!

And to all my writing peeps, I fully expect to hear a good report when I check in next. Let's make a goal...5000 words by the time I get to Maine. That's nine days.

Deal?

Good luck with the move. I'll try for 5k but can't make any promises. But it may be possible since the kids are going back to school.

Good luck with the move! It's always fun going to a new place. My husband and I made a big move from Virginia to Louisiana last year (before the birth of our first child). I'll try to take you up on the 5000 word challenge.

Good luck with your move! I hear Maine is just gorgeous! We're in the middle of a move too... tho only a few blocks from our current home. Either way, moving just plain sucks.

I am editing... so 5000 words is out of the question.
But, I hope you make that word count

Wishing you a peaceful move and warm socks for those ME winters!
I'm revising before sending out a full, so I won't make 5k words on my new WIP. Good luck to you in all that you do! :-)

Good luck with your move! I visited Maine in August of 2000 and thought it was beautiful.

I can definitely churn out at least 5,000 words in nine days. I just did a word count on the sequel to my Russian novel, which I started on 11 June, and found it's around 210,000 words so far, a bit over halfway through. My target goal for the finished book was a rather conservative 300,000, so I can probably manage at least 5,000 more words in that time!

What an adventure you will have! Traveling through all those states and ending up in Maine. Thanks for the challenge, in return I have a challenge for you, if you are up for it. If you were to write a book based on the first week of being in Maine, what would it be? Your so talented and crazy creative! Can't wait to see what books will come out of Maine from you! A new kind of fun will begin for you. Kinda jealous. ;)
